The ARC International Wildlife Crossing International Design Competition finalists demonstrate structures where roads are bridged to allow migratory and other crossing. Where we might normally think about wildlife crossings being characteristically some warning signs, or a small tunnel under the road, these are major architectural/environmental structures. Developed on the back of actual wildlife road crossing data collected from 24 sites in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, the designs explore the potential for constructing arcs of landscape across highways.
