Thursday November 12th

TOXIC TOUR OF SCOTLAND

Master storyteller Michael has created an exciting new adventure for his pals weetom and Uncle Dan, packed with learning, fun and a wee bit of geometry. Through the story, learn how to make board games and fun toys out of bottle tops and food and drink containers.

Come together for a ‘hoolie’ (raucous party) and dance some traditional Scottish Ceilidh dances with climate justice activists from across the world. Including traditional live fiddle music, and a ceilidh caller to talk you through all the dances and demonstrate the moves! Will this be the largest ever online ceilidh?

Sunday November 15th

WEE SEALS AND SELKIES

Janis Mackay, together with fiddle player Donald Scott, takes the audience to a remote beach in the far north of Scotland. Here, she tells the true story of a seal born in her garden, and of how the atmospheric setting gave rise to her magical re-imagining of the selkie myth. For all the family!

BEYOND WATER: DIASPORIC ARTISTIC EXPRESSION IN COLOMBIA AND SCOTLAND

Through the eyes and movements of the Scottish-based Zimbabwean visual artist Sekai Machache (she/her) and performers from the Colombian Cultural Corporation Danfroc (Afro-Caribbean Contemporary Dance), we will inspire a conversation around notions of Water.
