Are you planning a community renewable energy project? Are you an artist, designer or architect interested in community and energy generation with a track record projects? The Land Art Generator Initiative integrates art and interdisciplinary creative processes into the conception of renewable energy infrastructure.
To coincide with the opening of the Glasgow Land Art Generator competition exhibition at The Lighthouse, we are running a practical workshop to explore what’s needed to successfully bring together community energy and creative practitioners. Chris Fremantle, who is running the Glasgow competition and LAGI founders, Elizabeth Monoian and Robert Ferry, will use their experience to provide some pointers on recruiting artists and designers, developing briefs and running competitions. We’ll then break into groups to work on one or more real case studies, discussing how to gather the information you need, how to best enable people from very different fields to work together, what the common challenges are and how to overcome them. Other experts will help with advice on funding, planning and other issues.
The workshop is ideal for anyone who already has a project planned or is involved in developing one. If you want to use your project as a case study, please contact Ben on ben.twist@creativecarbonscotland.com. If you just want to attend to learn more, that’s fine too.
